SC161, and some weird colors

LOL Ok, not really weird but different. The color challenge for this week had grays and I don't have any of the gray paper so I chose an old color challenge to do.

Here's the card sketch.

And here's my cards.

Cardstock

  • Pretty in Pink
  • Chocolate Chip
  • Old Olive

Stamps

  • Beyond the Basics
  • Everyday Flexible Phrases

Ink

  • Pretty in Pink craft ink

SC160,CC150

A little harder card sketch this week. I wish I had some of the big stamps I saw some others use on SC. Some very pretty cards.

Here's the card sketch layout.

And then here's what I created tonight.

Paper

  • Real Red
  • Bordering Blue
  • Bashful Blue

Ink

  • Real Red

Stamps

  • Beyond the Basics
  • $1Michaels

I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the background layers with hearts on the Forever Love card, then to add more Real Red colored in a couple hearts.

I used the Cuttlebug to diecut hearts out of the front layer on the Love card. Decided it looked better when I glued the inner hearts in.

SC159, CC149

Nothing too special about this week's challenges.

Stamps

  • Simply Said

  • It's Your Birthday

Colors

  • Rose Red

  • Apricot Appeal

  • Sage Shadow

Used the Cuttlebug again and also the Cropadile to attach the eyelet.

Bonus pic-

These are some one sheet wonder cards that I made to send Ayla's school pictures in. I'll find the link for the one sheet wonder tomorrow, too tired tonight. The stamp is some flower wheel that I got with my first demo order.

Kickstand, SC158, CC148

This week's challenges included making a kickstand card.

Paper-

  • Bordering Blue
  • Garden Green
  • Barely Banana
  • Whispering White

Ink-

  • Garden Green
  • Basic Black

Stamps-

  • Tag Time
  • It's Your Birthday

The top layer I used the Cuttlebug and a birthday embossing folder. I did the bottom pic so you can see why it's called a kickstand. I also used the Cuttlebug to do the buckle diecut on the inside piece. Have I mentioned how much I love this thing?

Cuttlebug! and Cropadile!

Ok, those darn enablers at Splitcoast made me want a Cropadile and a Cuttlebug... so I bought them yesterday. The Cropadile is a hole punch and eyelet setter all together, no more pounding the eyelets. With the Cuttlebug you can emboss paper or do diecuts. I've been loving all the embossed layers I've been seeing on cards lately. Since Valentines is around the corner I bought a heart embossing folder and heart diecuts. I practiced with some scraps and then decided to make some cards with the scraps here they are.

Card stock is Whisper White, Real Red and Pixie Pink. Stamp set is Olive You and stamped with Real Red ink.

Card Sketch/Color Combo #1

I needed a birthday card for my Grandma's birthdy this week. I'm going to try and make cards once a week, using the card sketch and color combo challenges from Splitcoast. This week's color combo was Certainly Celery, Taken with Teal and Real Red. Here's the card sketch.

And here's what I created.

Stamps used-

  • It's Your Birthday
  • Birthday Best
  • Send a Celebration
  • Mini Mates

Since one full sheet of card stock makes two cards, I made two. This should help me build up my card reserves.
