2007 Christmas Cards

Naughty or Nice, Tis the Season

Naughty or nice-
Bashful Blue cardstock
Real Red cardstock 3 3/4" x 3 1/2"
White cardstock 3 1/4" x 3"

Stamped Santa on the white, colored him in with water crayons and blender pens. Used Dazzling Diamons on the white parts to bring them out more. Stamped the snowflakes from same set on the the blue with Bashful Blue ink. Saying is stamped in Real Red.

Tis the Season-
Real Green cardstock
Merry & Bright stamp set
Real Red cardstock ?
White cardstock ?

I stamped the reindeer, snowman and tree on white and used the 1 3/8 circle punch to make the ornaments. Brushed on Bashful Blue on edges to make them stand out more. Colored in with water pencils. Attached red pretty that I found at the craft store. The branch is from Peaceful Wishes stamp set, (borrowed from Brianna) and the 'tis the season is from Naughty or Nice set. I stamped the branches in Handsome Hunter.

I'll have to edit in cardstock measurements tonight, Kim cut it for me and not sure what size it is.

I think my biggest struggle is measuring the card stock. I think I need to buy a separate ruler.

I bought a little circle punch at Michaels, but I'm going to break down and buy the two SU ones.

My demo lady taught me a couple of things a few weeks ago:

She uses nail polish to add glitter sometimes - silver nail polish. It was cute.

She also will push the lid down on her ink pads to get a little color on the inside of the lid. Then she uses her blender pen to pull that ink to use. I laughed because I told her I didn't know if I could allow myself to mess up the inside of my ink pad cover.

I have the pencils, but not the water crayons. I think Luna has those.

Hey, where do you get ribbon? Do you use the SU ribbon?

Boo, what ribbon? I'll tell you a secret about ribbon... are you ready?

Only buy the white and color it using the ink pads or markers to whatever color you need. And no I don't normally buy the ribbon from SU.

My cutter has a ruler right on it. I love my cutter. I didn't buy the SU one, I bought mine at Walmart. It's bigger and has a scoring blade and a perforating blade. *grin*

*giggle* I've done the smoosh ink pad and use blender pens before.

Oh and you have to let me know which card you wish to receive.

I didn't mean ribbon here. I just meant ribbon in general. SU has that very cute thin ribbon, but I can't find it anywhere else.

I like both, so you should just surprise me.

*sings Beastie Boys Crafty song*

I don't have an SU cutter either. I think mine is Fiscars. But I still need a ruler I think to measure what I want before I cut it.

I'm such a rookie.

Oh nope, I measure and cut at the same time.

I've found the thin ribbon at JoAnns and Hobby Lobby.
